About Pilkington's
Let's Make Memories!
At the foot of the Sint Janskathedraal, in the middle of the historic center of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, you will find Pilkington’s. Pilkington’s exudes nostalgia, atmosphere and the coziness of English country. Our cozy restaurant is located in an old monastery and many guests know our restaurant from our delightful courtyard garden overlooking St. John’s.
A bit of history
Pilkington’s established 1990 stands for quality, homemade, atmosphere and class. Bart Derks has been Pilkington’s proud owner since 1993.
Pilkington’s is the only restaurant in ‘s-Hertogenbosch to serve the true English High Tea as the best English restaurants do. Your day in ‘s-Hertogenbosch is not complete without a visit to Pilkington’s.
Let us spoil you, every day, on every occasion
We welcome our guests for dinner, private dining, lunch, breakfast, high tea, coffee or tea with a Bossche bol, apple crumble or your choice of various sweet treats baked by our pastry chefs. To this we would like to add our latest addition: Crazy Crumble, the warm apple crumble with vanilla custard with which we recently went viral on social media.
From richly topped sandwiches, bagels, contemporary salads and “pure British pies” at lunch, to challenging, innovative dinner dishes: Pilkington’s has it all. Enjoy our High Tea in the afternoon and a High Wine in the evening. Looking for a meeting room with a view of the inspiring St. John’s? Or a venue for your wedding, party, reception or business event? Please contact us without obligation.
What's in our name
Did you know that Mrs. Pilkington really existed? It is the maiden name of Pilkington’s founder’s grandmother. Our restaurant has carried its name for over 30 years.
